Gavin, or to whom it may concern,

I'm curious about your statement that I read somewhere in the 
hibernate docs or elsewhere that you consider it bad design to map a 
single object to > one table.  Actually, typically, I would tend to 
agree, but I'd like to look at a more complete discussion of this 
design perspective and what's behind the statement.  Can you point me 
toward a more complete discussion of this and related design ideas?  
Anything from web pages to published books would be fine, I just want 
to understand where you're coming from, etc.
