OpenXava

What is OpenXava?

OpenXava is an open source framework for Rapid Development of Enterprise Java applications.

It allows to develop applications just with POJOs, JPA and Java 5 annotations.

What is it good for?

It's useful for creating transactional business applications. Applications as

Invoicing, Accounting, Inventory management, etc. are suitable for OpenXava.

The developer writes the the Model layer and OpenXava provides the User Interfaces and the typical behaviour for the most cases.

What is the relationship to Hibernate?

OpenXava uses by default the Hibernate JPA implementation. Also OpenXava understands Hibernate validator annotations.

Using OpenXava and Hibernate Tools, for creating a JPA model from a database, allows creating CRUDs and report generation rapidly from an existing database.

Where can I find it?

OpenXava can be found at: www.openxava.org.
